How to Make CBD Tea
Whether it was your grandmother that told you, or perhaps you read it online somewhere, we are sure you have heard of at least some of the wonderful therapeutic benefits of drinking tea. Humans have been using tea as a vehicle to better overall health for millennia now. The effects can be described as relaxing and mood-lifting. If you have not tried adding CBD to your favorite tea recipe yet, here are some reasons why you should right away.
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, has gained global renown for its vast spectrum of benefits. Some of these benefits are as follows: CBD helps to relieve all manner of discomfort, helps to balance the body, supports normal neurological function, helps to relieve anxious feelings and stress, and assists with reducing nausea and vomiting. By adding CBD to your morning, afternoon, and or evening tea you will boost the relaxation provided by your beverage with the supercharged benefits of the CBD.
Tea, CBD, & Antioxidants
Tea and CBD are both phenomenal antioxidant sources. Combining the two more thoroughly provides for the body what it needs to better maintain itself. Antioxidants are essential to us because it is believed that they may aid our bodies in fighting the effects of free radicals, which have been linked to aging and disease. CBD tea offers an opportunity for your body to possess more of the tools it needs to keep the fight going. If antioxidants are a priority for you, try a white tea.
Many people today are interested in boosting their metabolisms. Some teas have been observed to boost the metabolism with a flavonoid called catechin. This is most commonly found in green teas. Another metabolism boosting compound naturally found in many teas is caffeine. And, as it happens, CBD has been shown to boost the metabolism as well. This could mean that CBD tea, made with a caffeinated green tea, could make for a great weight-loss beverage!
Teas can be simple, and they can be complex. For additional effects, some people add herbs such as lavender or rooibos. Lavender has helped some to sleep better, while some find rooibos may help with headaches and nervous tension. Such additions should be researched. It is also important to keep in mind, consulting with your physician before adding a new supplement to your routine is always a great idea.
What is CBD Tea?
CBD tea is brewed tea with added CBD oil. Making your own CBD tea is a straightforward process. Pick a CBD oil, choose your favorite tea, choose milk, butter, or coconut oil (if you would like to lighten it up a bit), and grab your favorite cup or mug. Finding the right balance between taste and health benefits is key.
CBD Tea vs. Other Consumption Methods
You might be asking what the less obvious benefits of consuming CBD in a tea are. It has to do with the term bioavailability, which is the rate at which the body uptakes the CBD consumed. Taking the oils and tinctures sublingually has a more immediate effect, while drinking the dosage in a tea would delay the effects, providing smooth relaxation for an extended period of time. This is due to the path the CBD takes to your bloodstream. Smoking and sublingual application enter the bloodstream quicker than ingestion, but the effects do not last as long. When ingested, CBD will take longer to reach your bloodstream, but once it does, the duration of the effects will be longer. This is helpful for individuals looking to space their dosages out, to maintain effects throughout the day. This could be right for you depending on your needs!

Process:
1. Boil desired amount of water
2. Prepare the cup or mug with tea
